Don't want to piss on yer fireworks mate, but I'm concerned about the mod you've done to your handlebars, usually when fitting fat bars or twin wall renthals to your bike you need to add a conversion bar adapter (see pic of mine) as the normal bar o.d is 22mm and the fat bar/ twin walls are 28mm, plus you say you're a tall lad, so it also helps with the ride height, as they raise the bars a tad, so you wont be slouching down as much, and will sit straighter in the seat, nah if my lad had done that I'd have told him to bin those bars straight away, and to think himself lucky they didn't bend/snap on him whilst riding, as they'll be much weaker where you've taken the meat off them.plus if you get yersen into a nasty prang, insurance and bobbies go over stuff to see if you are at fault of the cause, and whether or not it is, they see that you've done that to the bars, they ain't payin out nowt.
iv not touched the bars iv bored the clamping surface out!
and im more than certain it s not weakened any thing as iv done this before on previous bikes hard going mx's cr 125,250,kx 500 all used on the track with big jumps and hard landings not always on 2 wheels either,
it just used to bend the bars not break anything,
i dont see the point of spending silly money on mounting kits when it can be made to fit any way,and i no its been safe enough before with alot more stress put through it on the motocross bikes
yeah it may look good.
the top clamps pictured are only temp as iv got somme alloy blocks im going to make the final items out of i just wanted to get an idea of whet it would look like
ill take some side on pics so u all can see the alterations
