Anyone fitted one of these?  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-DT125R-DT125RE-DT-125-BRAKE-CALIPER-PISTON-KIT-/220807147127?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item336921ae77

If so is it simple to remove old one?

My bike had no brake pads and just inspecting it and tried moving piston back in but it was bending bar on G Clamp ( G clamp was used on others and fine before ) And part of the seal is broke so i think it may be seized/jammed on seal

Take the caliper off and put it in a bucket pump the lever may have to refil with fluid before it runs out! this will push the piston out

Now theres two seal, a dust seal and the main seal dig these out and clean groves as you get dirt and rust in there, replace seals then push the piston back in square making sure you dont push the seals back out also make sure you lube the piston with fluid before this will make this easyer, if you have twin pistons which you havnt but in which case  clamp one replace other then clamp the new one to do the old one

Hope this helps

Piston won't budge *_*

Bleed brakes 3 times to try. After bleeding i continue pumping with it and it don't budge. There isn't even any pressure there. Pedal goes all the way until it hits metal and stops.

I pump the pedal. keep foot on pedal and open the bolt to let the air out. I then tighten it and then leave off brake and repump. Continue until i got enough fluid out that even a retard will know there is no air left in. Then tighten bolt and leave off brake and repump and piston does nothing.

I'm not saying my way is the best, but certainly easiest I've found, after a few years of doing it, as you can do it by yourself without needing arms like an orang utang, while holding the tube and filling the reservoir at the same time, cba at the min to write/ put pics on here, as too long ang too late,, but its on my project thread under sig pic (near the end of project), the syring creates a non return vaccuum stopping air getting back in fluid, and you can back/reverse bleed it if you want. 5 mins each caliper I reckon.

well one pic, so you can get the gist

Finally got around to sorting this out. One of the privious owners had super glued seals in so the new seals wouldn't fit in correct. Just spent 45 mins scraping glue off to fit seals. Piston fit in like a glove.
