Hi all Got a bit of an issue with a 1991 dt125r front brake. The bike is fitted with stainless hoses, has had a new disc, pads, and we are getting a slight pulse on the brake lever when riding and the brake is pulled. The new pads and disc have not cured it. I have had the caliper apart and everything is clean a...

So I've recently overhauld both front and rear calipers on my 1998 DTR. Be careful when buying a rear piston and seals kit as the rear on mine was a 30mm piston and yet alot on ebay listed as rear ( even for my year) and yet were supplying 35mm piston and seals which fit the front. I got my rear kit from YamBits...

When i driving or pushing my DTR forwards it making a high iiek iiek ieeek sound from te front brakes. When i'm hitting the brakes this sound stops. Also when i put some water on the brakes this also seems to help.. What is causing this noise ? is it fraction between the disc and brake pads ?

Anyone tried fitting different brakes on their dt's as the standard one's are pretty shocking. Riding my mates wr125 earlier, the brakes are so much better, anyone tried fitting them? Not sure if they would fit or not but look fairly similar. Cheers
