y-1 y-2 whats the diffrence ??

i have two y 2 barrels and a y-1 head can they be used together as in a y2 barrel with y-1 head whats better ????

not sure wat the y-1 n y-2 mean but i the main difference is 3bn 3mb u want the setup 3bn barrel with 3mb head

hi mine is standard 1990 barrel (3mb)

and standard 1990 head (3mb) the good one

and my bike kicks arse /tops out about 95 (head down)

still have to get clocked as i hit end of speedo at about 8000 revs then the powerband kicked in and it kept revin for anouther 2500 revs

thats quick mate mines not a patch on that i take it thats the full compression head and barrel wish i went down that road i just had a rebore new piston nd rings can only get it goin 70 - 75 if i ws at the limiter but power vlave pulls and spins everywere lol

lol yh i hear that 1990dtr, my old 54plate dt125re used to do around 95 on the enduro set up with green wire earthed standard carb upjetted and dep pipe but it used to go bang every cupol months.

my 51 dtr now pushes about80 flat out but much more reliable.

ive got the later engine 3mb and on the other side it says y-2 mate if that helps
