Just replaced my fork seals and dust seal however after rebuilding them i noticed they sound quite weird as in like its sucking fluid within the forks if that makes any sense, there all tight and no air is getting in ?
You need a fork seal driver, about 30 quid, I made one which works great from a 2 inch plastic drain pipe about 2 foot long, cut a slot 1 inch or so wide full length with a saw ,file edges of one end so they are square to the length , fit a 44-50mm jubilee clip round it about 6 inches from this end . By tightening the clip you can change the diameter of the "driver " to fit your seal , oil the seal before sliding it down the fork carefully to avoid damage to the edge , fit driver over and gently tap home with a hammer .
p.s. just realised you are having problem with the dust seal not the oil seal . my seals were not OEM from Yamaha and the dust seal would not fit so I used the old ones !
