1992 TZR125R Belgarda 4DL Project finished
Permalink

Well its been a long while since ive started my 4DL project, and now its finished. Back to mint status. I chucked in 780 quid at the bike, plus the 250 quid i bought it for, owes me just short of a grand in hard cash. Value is around the 1500 notes

A 43 mile trip today, and it ran lush, a quite comfy bike. Hit 95mph in places, and iam fat git too, very impressed with the power, but i was backing off quite alot due to the new engine. The brakes are astounding, the brembo 4 pot caliper on the 320mm disc can rupture your balsl on the tank quite well, there goes my family credit for sure. Very stable bike at high speed. Light, and the riding postion is great.

Revs up to 11k, pull very hard. deff a kick in the ass.

The MOT is booked for friday,  a once over, its going to fly thru for sure.

here are some pix of todays riding.

When i get the MOT, this bike will be up for sale, next bike is a DTRE.

kl kl wen its done ill post up, work iv done so far, fresh rebore + new piston (1st over size) havnt done mod to pv as it looks ok) new gaskets, new tank panels and decals, major clean up all over bike, new chain and sprockets, over hauled rear brake, new rear pad pins new pads on rear, reapir seat wer it bolts down at the back as i had to rip it off because the captive nuts wer seized so the seat is now removable lol goint to have new tail tidy new rear indis polished n stubbied rear dep and fresh packing, standard front pipe, new ish rear tyre (trials type tyre) new front fender (no decals) new headlight possibly polisport one same as iv got on mine, swing arm bushes and bearings are really good also has no play in swinger wat so ever so bushes, linkages, and shock mounts are good, front forks are pretty mint with no leaks, think theres more? im just getting it mechanically sound so there are some cosmetic stuff that needs doin but i cant spend too much on it as im trying to make decent money out of this bike,as im jobless atm :( it will have mot wen i come to sell it its the 2005 stefan mx ltd edt but i cant really afford to buy new graffics for the whole bike , iv only got the tank panel ones to match the tank so it doesnt look abit odd. will be posting pics wen its more complete
,

ideal sounds good, only thing i`d to the dtre is a dep front as the dtre as u know is got the crap cat and restrictions.

my piston belw on 56.5mm on my old dtr, its worth doing tbh, but not alot off, as long its got 1mm ish clearence, sounds a good bike, has it got rethals bars or anything?

let me know when its all done, i be very tempted tbh, as its what iam looking for.

the tzr ive done to date 77km (45 miles) never missed a beat, 90+mph with me on it and im not light. it goes like stink. i rekon with a 12/13st guy, do a ton easy. Plus its not run in yet, its only going to free up more on the new rebuild and get quicker and quicker, Still running on the mineral oil for running in.

just got a new battery, n plug this week too. every thing works as it should, sounds dead sweet, no unusual noises, knocks rattles. Starts first time every time. Nice roar from the 32mm carb, the pipe sounds swish..

the mot is booked for this friday. all good!

no not got renthals or anything but there not standard they have gone a tad rusty wer stuff's bolted on to it but again its all cosmetic, it did come with a dep front but its on my bike atm, i might sell it with the dep im not sure, thing is the standard pipe iv got for it is in really good condition and has years of life left in it wer as the dep hasnt been looked after and looks like **** and has a few small dents in it, we'll see,

an older dtr front pipe fit ? with the same mounts? i dont know if they inter changable or no. As the older dtr pipe is better than the RE`s

just thinking tbh out of the box. Bars are easy to get in anycase, jut preference really, somthin i would add owning one.

2k on mine, ive seen another like mine same coulour at £2299, thats unreal! am not expecting that tbh, i`d be happy at £1600, i know they are rare 33hp 125`s, buts thats mad.

first time he said hes seen a 33hp tzr, all hes tested before are the UK tzr`s. could`nt find one fault at all, nothing he said..lol i could seem him creaming him self over it tho...

on the way home tho, the speedo needle fell off! its gone inside the clock somewhere. going to sort that, seems like it came of its spindle. warp speed that bike . lol. hit 90mph before hand. whizz`s along nice.
