Finaly got myself a 125 , got it back home .............found out had no MOT hmm

Go on round the garage . They tell me it failed and this is why :

-Chain split link not fitted correctly

-rear shock has insufficient dampening

-rear shock has excesive play in bearings

-Head bearing has excesive play

-Headlight front possition lamp missing

-front disc has excesive runout

advisorys

-chain worn but not excesive

-Front tyre close to legal limit

They told me will cost £400-£500 to just fix these things only

........... I told them to GET F*CKED

So looks like i will be doing my bike up by myself then getting it MOTed. Instead of them doing the basics and making me pay 2x as much ill just do it all and make it look nicer and less wink

So here are the things i allready ordered (ill get pics of them all on here)

-New chain and sprocket set ( get rid of one of the advisorys as well )

-New halogen headlight

-New headrace bearing set

-New neoprene fork guards

-New sunline grips

thought id buy some new gloves as well :)

Other things i still need/want to get

-New rear shock with bearings

-New seat cover

-Maybe some handguards

-Nice new sticker set not sure what yet

and either some spray paint or some Perminant markers ;) iv done some of my own art work on a white pannel on my bike , will get a pic of it up see what you guys think .

So ill post some pics of my bike as it is now and some of the little things iv done so far .ill keep updating with before and after pics of each bit and the bike over all and the process as i go along :)

Welcome to the forum mate,

Where you from?

Sounds like its gonna be a good bike when done, as long as it looks good lol - designing the panels seat and tank yourself sounds like a good idea, not ott though.

Keep us updated mate

Tried to take as many pictures as i could when i had the time and they are in the order of the way i did things . Hardest thing was replacing the shock to put it back in took 6 hours ! last person to replace it didnt put washers in at the bottom and had bent the housing disbelief so i have to make it fit haha ill have some more pictures up over the next few days some more tommorow of it all finished and done and probably of my design and some more whenever i have the money and get some more stickers and anyone know how to properly cuz down pannels ? if been told just use hacksaw want to cut down the back two to give more of a scramy look but will cut half of my nice little design off :/

let me know what you guys think
