hi sorry if this is a bit rambling as its my first posting. i want to s/m a bike but i would like to know the following if poss... which would be the best model..i was looking at the dtr 125sm ,but i think this model would be a bit pricey for something that I'm going to pull apart.i would like a electric start and a working power valve(one that's already wired up my last dt was the one with just a open  or shut  after. all or nothing)i already have a gilera sc 125 front end complete forks wheel yokes and brake (will put up picture when i can work out how.)i have found out that the sc engine is the tzr model so i am hoping to get the rear wheel and poss swing arm to graft on as well i have a host of things that i am hoping to do and have seen how helpful every one is on here so am looking forward to getting yet another yam!!!

Get the DT125X , its already supermoto'd with electric start and servo controlled powervalve.

DT125RE , trail wheels, but has electric start and servo powervalve.

DT125R , trail wheels, kick start and only some models have the powervalve servo.

If it makes a wee wee noise when switch on it has a servo controlled powervalve, all the servo is is a little electric motor thats controlled with the RPM of the engine.

If it doesnt make a noise when switched on the powervalve is still there but there is no servo controlling it so it just stays in 1 postition all the time.

thanks...its just that I've had four dts .1.the dt125mx air cooled one lc and two power valve models but with the power valve locked.the two 350ypvs bikes I've had both said hello when you turned the key(the wee,wee noise as the power valve turned over) i,ve had two kmx 200 they had the kips system(Kawasaki input power valve system i think it stud for?)and they did not make any noise when switched on!its just that when i get the bike i plan on doing the usual change the hole exhaust, get an Athena 170 big bore k and n cone air filter (worked very well on my kmx) upgrade the reeds ect .. basically throw money at it which would have been better spent on a bigger bike.......but ive had my rocket Ronny moments (gsxr1100.fzr1000)and i like to tinker with two strokes...i just hate it when you ask for advice and just get told get a bigger bike. why when i can have a small bike and run rings round toss**s on "big bikes"
