PLASTIC BOTTLE ON AIRBOX TO CARB BOOT
Permalink

I can't remember exactly what its for but i think its supposed to enhance performance. A friend told me that the RD s have a similar set up, and that people used to modify the size of the chamber to give a boost, or by squeezing it, or something like that. Might be BS, i don't no, probably wouldn't be good for the engine anyway.

No idea but on my RE I taped up the hole and removed the snorkel and it ran 1000x better!
Before that it was totally stock and I was hitting 60 in a 40 and I hit some wind and ended up doing 40 in a 60 lol
It really wasn't fun with all the cars overtaking me cry

its a boost bottle

designed to give a better response in the low rev range

its to do with pressures i think

i remember reading about it but thats all i remember

and making the hole in the bottle slightly bigger gives you better performance apparently

never tried it though

It's a restrictor, the airflow, I taped the hole up in mine, and it's made a big difference!
