Aye, mine sounded like a coffee grinder, one of the motor gears was stripped inside, got a new servo. You can't buy the gears seperate from Yamaha either, bastards.

My power valve motor goes a bit mad when i turn the ignition on instead of doing the cleaning cycle it goes forwards then backwards and forwards a tiny amount but really quick could it be my cdi playing up thanks
i had a servo chucked it in bin, soon as u turned key it wud just spin alway round r8 fast till it was turned off, every fin else was fine and worked as normal so am assuming servos go bad from time to time
