Lol aye I remember this well, the first series was filmed at Donnington Park back in about 78 with Dave Lee Travis IIRC, and the very first one me and my mate went to watch the filming, got fed up and ended up tearing up and down at the back of the course on my mates DT175, infact I remember seeing ourselves, when it was aired on the TV.
John Lapmkin went on to become an unbeatable world champion, and now his lad is a world champion too.

Lol aye, well if ya ever come across the first one let me know I'd like to show my lad, funny thing is if I remember rightly they filmed a few episodes in one day, so after each heat they made all the spectators move about and swap positions, so it looked like it was being filmed different weeks, I think thats what made me and my mate lose interest, and have our own tear up in the background lol.

500cc 2t thats the way to go gonna google that tho cos im unfamilar with a suzuki cobra never heard of it , iv got a scrawney m8 who had a cr500 for a brief while an dint have the the weight to kick it over.... i doubt i have either tho to be honest my 170s compression of the kick start is pretty damn stiff compared to the 125 barrel i bet a 500 you need a good 12 13 stone of man on the kick lol
