Drain oil & coolant

remove outer clucth casing & gasket, clean and wipe dry

then youll need to undoo the clutch springs/bolts ,whip all of them out

then the pressure plate can be removed just pulled off will be stuck on with oil !

then all the plates will slide out in one pile

 

same for installation just look in the manual for steel plates location as they need to be at a specific place when fitting theres locator tabs on them

Mate check the how to section. I wrote up how to do a kick start conversion. In that it tells you all about the Clutch and how to put it back together.

just looked at the how to bit abt clutch and would like to say thanks to all involved but just one little thing has anyone a pic of this push rod thing n dreaded ball bearing ? Dave

Why whats the matter mate. It is unlikely that you've lost the bearing if you kept the engine in the frame and the bike on the lean. Or unless the push rod is magnetised.

no nev avnt even srtipped it but dunno whats inside never stripped a clutch but done most of my other spanner work ! was just curious :) Dave ps bikes done 25 000+ so guess its gettin ready eh , only bites at end of lever travel  now

 Good point, i was assuming with a clutch strip down tho he'd want to check the clutch plate's and that lot too! hehehehe :D

You would only need the clutch tool if you wanted to take the basket off!

so cured my baggy clutch now, just had an hour on it...some one had but the clutch 2gether wrong

with my on the fly adjuster wound right out at the lever perch there was still slack in the cable, was doing my hed in  2day clutch on or off lol

so pulled the case off and stripped it

some one had put the clutch boss damper and the bigger id friction plate on the hub 1st

WRONG lol

it goes on 2nd....

now correct  clutch adjuster all way in at the bars and it feels beaut on the action

i also added a thick washer on the spring bolts as the springs are well beyond service limit, willl get to that soon enough

 

so if asny ones got a baggy clutch as above, have a look how the clucth plates are fitted !!!
