hey guys, Im back from germany, Before i left i got some main bearings. Started putting the engine back together. Got the engine all done really, but then i went to germany, My dad put the engine onto the frame and got it started while i was gone. so today i tested it.
The PV was badly adjusted, but i put it in the right position, a bit more open than stock. ( Dont know if this actually makes it 100 % open or if it just makes it open earlier )
And i was really happy, has a 17 front sprocket, And it still wheelied extremely easily in the 2nd gear. And i got it up in 3rd gear too. but wasnt that easy to get it to the "balance point " . But its strong enough, i just have to get to know my bike again.
Im hoping to get some movie clips of some wheelies or something, Maybe tomorrow if it doesent snow as much as today, was lucky to find some pieces of clean asphalt when i was riding so i could test the acceleration and do some wheelies :D !
My friend wouldnt ride with me today. So couldnt get any vids since i got no gopro or any way to mount my mobile camera.
But im hoping he will come drive with me tomorrow,
The bike felt really strong, Can get it up on the backwheel in 3rd gear. With the 17 front sprocket i have about 70 km/h when im wheeleing :D . Was well worth the 450 quid or 4500 kr. + the 150 quid / 1500 kr for the 34 carb.
To get it to run clean i had to use a 260 jet on the 34mm carb + a powerfilter.
Thanks m8, Today the snow was back in norway so couldnt do any riding at all. But i promoise to get some vids here when the weather allows it, And when my friend comes along and i can talk him into filming me ;) .
I dont know what you mean by offset, But i had to adjust them so that they open a bit earlier / more . That made a big difference from how it was before.
If your running with a servo on your pv you should try it too if you havent already done it ;)
I did the other day m8 it went well think I had the servo turning backwards before . had to dissconnect it now the cov.z iv snapped the adjuster. With the servo I think my standard front. Pipe holds it back cos it won't redline like it did with the big one pipe

Tell ya what Nordt, we seen you got the snow over there, we've had on our news that rescue truck and lorry going over the edge of the road, into the ravine, that anywhere near you?

Hehe, No that wasnt anywhere close to me ^^ i saw it too, looked crazy ! that guy driving the rescue truck was lucky ! xD so was the truck driver :P
Haha, The 170cc was already run in xD. I did 40 000 km on it before i decided that i had to change the bearings and crank, I had hoped for a long time that the rattle was something else than the crank but then i just realised the truth and changed it. Now after doing the last 10 000 km i started wheeleing it ;) Runs like a dream !
im not sure iv had mine working right ever really still a bit baffled on which way it turns lol.
had it turning anticlockwise on idle to turning clockwise with higher rpm
worked nice an sounded nice.
tried it turning clockwise on idle to anitclockwise with the rpm
the bike ran smooth an sounded sweet through all the rpm but sounded like a bag of bolts on idle when i finished a long ride. i liked the feel but top speed wasnt even obtained
then tried it completly dissconected playing with open max an closed 3mm
bike sounds stunning what ever rpm, an i can reach my top speed a lot quicker like this on the country roads.
Yeah im sorry about the no-shows for the vids .... My friend has a girlfriend and refuses to leave her for an hour to come ride with me, And my gf would just look weird at me if i asked her to film me wheeleing xD...
And atm im on a easter holiday in sweden ... Will try to get a vid when i get back home... but i cant say when my friend will agree to ride with me so i get make him video tape me ..
WIsh i had a gopro..
