it is now just done it i just done a full strip down ie everything that can come out i removed. i found some flakes of paint inside where the float jet is and also dirt in the bit where the long needle goes in (its brass an long)
anyway i think that the carb filled up but the flake of paint was stopping the
float jet from closeing hence FLOODING

no water feed makes no difrence really, think its abit over engineered that carb lol
take the fuel line off and blow down it with a compressor, mine was like this had a small bit of grit in the needle valve holding it open letting fuel past
right sorted it sort of but i found today that if i leave it with the choke on for 10secs or so to warm up then turn the choke of and ride it
it then floods so i leave it to tick over for about ten 5 min to warm up then its like a rocket any iders
also the carb is the one with the water feed but no tubes conected to carb
do you think this is the problem?

That's hardly warming it up. Let the bike tick over for at least a minute. Giving it small blips now and then after 30 seconds. There's this kid round my col de sac. He's just past his test and has a Vauxhal Nova! It's about 1989 runs on Carbs. Kid has NO CLUE ABOUT ENGINES. Starts it up and drives off straight away. Is SOOO FUNNNY cause he keeps stalling it! Then starting it up in gear. Then driving with the hand brake on.
Anyway, he keeps struggling to pull off and revs the bollocks out of the engine and then stalls and can't find out why?? Well I told him. Look mate it's not fuel injection. It's carbs. You need to let the engine Idle for a while. Warm it up. DICK/Head!
