if the kick starts slipping /not engaging then it wont turn the engine over fast enough for it to start...

fit a new kick start return spring  or what ever it is thats faulty

will it bump start?

is there much compression?

Your DT is proboably mad because you chose to ride a husqvarna instead of it. If i did that to my dt it would proboably seize on the spot. Piston rings would fly out the exhaust. thats your problem mate, Jealusy xD

Just try talking to it, give it some love. And if it doesent start then i know someone called the "bike wisperer" who knows how to communicate with bikes, especially two strokes ;)

Hmm. Your spring may have just fallen out of place. But something might have gone wrong inside that casing. I wouldn't try bumping it until you've at least had a look. Wouldn't want loads of metal flying around smashing the clutch to pieces!
