Where did you get those wheel laced out of interest? and how much did you pay? I've been searching forever to find a half decent place that will lace my dt hubs to sumo wheels.. I don't wanna pay £110 a wheel!

I was going to get them laced but like you said it would cost around £200 to get them laced then another £200 ish for the rims.
Instead I just decided it would be cheaper to buy new wheels... Paid £300 for them :)
Just to to machine some new spindles and spacers which is pretty simple. Because I
Kept the TDR forks they have a 100mm bolt spacing on the caliper... The same as R1,R6
and FZ1 calipers so will bolt in without and brakets so will look standard fit.

Yeah I was pretty lucky. No one bid on them so I got them for the starting bid. I was bidding on others that where similar and they went for 335. I just searched supermoto wheels. These are for a wr450.

Absolutely loving this build! Love the spray job done to the frame and parts.

A full system Chrome DEP would really really really finish the bike off nicely! I know they're expensive but so worth it for the look.

I just want you to keep posting pictures of everything! Wish I had the funds to keep working on my bike. Just takes time and it's so frustrating.

Cheers. Im on a very tight budget tbh. In essence the wheels cost me £100 as I sold the TDR's for £200. Lol. I still havnt sprayed the frame but the more I see it all black the more I want it to. stay like it

Sorry?

Why is the frame matt black then? I though you sent it off to be etched?

What nah!

I don't like being wrong lol.

It looks really good. If you could get that colour sprayed a hard wearing spray then that would be really nice.

Depends. Are these the excel rims from the DTX? If so almost yes. Just needs a bracket for the front disc.

No then

It'll need custom spacers and brackets for the brakes.

And it might have a 520 chain on the rear so you'll either need a 480 chain conversion or uprate the front to 520

Front sprocket?

Am I right in thinking you're having custom spacers made?

Got my 160 maxxis fitted to the rear wheel today. Couldnt do the front as it needed a new inner tube. Will need to space the sproket as the chain will be very close. Think im going to fit a wr swing arm too as it'll make it easier to fit the rear wheel as I wont need to machine a custom spindle... And it'll look cool as ****!

Nathhhhhannnnn. What did you say your wheels were from? Ive picked up a set of XT660 wheels and their similar size just with standard XT hubs. Are your spindles the right size etc? I'm not entirely sure about the rear being the same cos the WR450 doesnt use a cush drive and the XT does, but the fronts look similar..
