So according the Haynes manual, any noise coming from the rear end of the bike will be the shock! Why am I not convinced it's the shock? Now the shock doesn't appear to be defective, however looks can be decieving no?
I foolishly took that area of the bike apart today to have a mooch. Surprise surpise I managed to break something so I would like a little bit of wisdom from you lot. I'm going to apologise in advance for my voice in the video as I was a little bit shy to talk.
So can you help?
I'm looking to see what suggestions you've got as to removing the bushes from their position. How? What tools?
Also am I right in thinking it might not be the shock? Have a listen see what you think. I'm pretty sure it's a common fault as I've heard a lot about this.
I'm probably going to grab all this stuff off AJ, since it's cheaper on postage to buy all of the stuff in one hit. Plus it comes with two bushes for the front and back. Might as well do both of them. And I accidently snapped the friggin greese nipple so going to buy one of those. If it is the shock (like the Haynes says) any reccomendations on a new shock?
Well for the parts that I'd need it's about £45. If I **** this all up I'll take those off you in a snap (Next month :() I just like having new. I want to own a brand new DTR125.

Yeah that's what I thought. I thought the squeaky swing arm was a common problem! Wow. Well I'm hoping it's not the shock and to be fair was hoping that you knew what the problem was.
Haha. Well in face to face I talk really fast. Everyone has an accent whether it be farmer to brum or ****ney. So I was trying to talk slowly and clearly so that I could put across my problem. I was let down by my camera skills haha. I did improve the lighting at the end of the video.
And seriously no one has any ideas on how to remove them. Great crack.
Surprisingly light and easy to take off. I don't think the bushes need replacing! I mean I'm not expert but surely they would be in pretty bad condition if they needed replacing. Just need a new roller cage and the dust seals. Regreasing and putting back together.
I've got a feeling it was squeaking from the point at which it pivots!
When the dog bones were disconnected and I could move it free of the suspension I noticed it squeaked. Not as loud as it was with the wieght on the bike mind.
So Yeah I just gresses the shít out of those parts when I put it back together and fingers crossed no more squeaking!
I'm glad I did it though, cause it's something I've never done before and could happily do it in order for the swing arm to get powder coated.
