Has anyone bought a Weemoto Cap?

Need a new cap but not paying Yammy £60 for one, has anyone gotten one from Weemoto or similar?

Only reason I ask is I bought a pattern ignition from them and had to re-wire it due to bad workmanship. Want to know if the cap is worth it.

Lol. I ordered an ignition barrell off there and it was spot on. Was well pleased with it. Still works!

That said Seiki! I have noticed sometimes that the bike won't turn over or start via the kick start sometimes? That could be down to the ignition barrel. Lights come on and everything just it won't turn over with the starter or start with the kicker.

Scratch that you mean petrol cap? I'm sure NORFE would have had one lying about mate.

A fuel cap mate, mine keeps messing about and not letting air in\out so bike cuts out every 30 mins or so.

The thing I found with the ignition barrel was the soldering was weak . I opened up the barrel and re-soldered everything but could see it wasn't the best workmanship in there. I guess you pay less so no big deal unless stuck somewhere lol

If you're getting lights then it means the ignition is working mate, might be down to compression or something else.

It's strange. Light's and most electrics work. Apart from the starter motor and i'm guessing no spark! Haven't the RE's got an immobiliser on them. Some times i'll ride down the road and it'll just cut out. Switch the bike on and off and it starts fine.

Yeah could be. That's a common fault to be fair.

got my weemoto cap today, and it seems fine, nice and tight, no leakage and locks on properly, but however, i do feel like i could take the cap off while it's locked if i give it enough force, unlike the original yam ones that needed a nuke to get off while locked

Happy with mnie since i got it a while ago just because it's got a lock, but it's a fúcking ball ache to get on/off because the thread is total dog shiit, have to really force it to turn it into position and literally use your strength, bastard thing! Think i got mine from egay though maybe yambits?

aye mines pretty stiff to get on, but then again i think thats a good thing, means nothing going in, or nothing coming out, i left a full tank upside down lastnight and there was no leakage at all, so it's safe to say it's totally air tight and pretty much all a-ok
