Hi guys... Got my engine up and running finally for the first time today and it sounds pretty nice but there seems to be a slapping/dry type noise.. I've still got the flywheel cover off and running a 240 jet... Sorry the video is short (4 seconds) but didn't want to run it much longer.. Here's the link to the vid.. Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Any pointers would be good... I'm hoping it's just coz everything is tight and needs wearing in...

Here's a longer video...

I've just been down and started it again.. I left it ticking over for a couple of minutes before I started filming...

There's a wheering sound coming from the flywheel area... Took me a few kicks before it would start an there's some white smoke when revving....

just been browsg through the whats wrong section and ive found another post similar to mine... the sound is nearly the same!!!

Not sure if yours is same problem as the other lads, as his was the gasket not bored out along with the small bearing giving up on him.
Whip the powervalve out, and see if theres any polishing on it from the piston, would be my first port of call, other than that, move the kickstart up and down whilst engine is running, see if that affects the noise, as it sounds a bit like the kickstart still being down when first starting, if ya get me,
