and mdk bloody good idear ill gave that ago cheers =]
had that happen on a wiseco b4 about 4 years ago !
made a right mess of the plated barrel aswell, its just a birth defect of the piston, just your luck got the bad one out of a batch, what brand was the piston?
looks to me like it could of been a cheap piston mate , either way that's **** luck hope you get it sorted soon though bud

done over 10k on this piston myself so lasted its fair shair lol should be geting it back today im so excited XD first time in almost 2 years iv neaver gone without a bike =]
well my bike was owned by a bunch of chav idiots and i worked out it done 4 thousand miles in 2 years in witch it had no mot or tax so its been ragged off road and this is a cheap arftermarket piston so 10k on a cheap arftermarket piston isn't bad
on standard if you don't do much ragging i reckon it will last a fair few miles but save up some money and just wack in a new piston and ring kit it will set you back £30-50 i knew i needed one but couldn't aford a new one at that time lol its cheaper to change the rings and piston evry nown and then rather then wait till it pops and be without a bike for 4 days and have to pay for a rebore and clean the crank out lol
at the least take your head off and just have a look at your piston and bore =]
