Right, so, so far I've changed the exhaust to a dep and well as you can see, It line sup perfectly. NOT.
The rear silencer bolts have all corroded in the frame and subsequently snapped. Note my epic bodge job with industrial BRIGHT YELLOW cable ties. (It's alot more stable now...).. So I will need to drill the existing bolts out and replace them.
Anyone know where I can get said new bolts from? Other than that I think it's a clean up, lube up and then sell for a bigger bike :D

My exhaust didn't line up at all either, melted a bit of the plastics too...
If you want to get bulk bolts just go on ebay and search dt 125 bolts there are quite a few sets - note the cheaper ones don't include every single bolts just loads of commonly used ones you will need to buy quite a few sets if you want to do the whole bike.

Cheers buddy, I just really want to make sure all the visible bolts are of the same type. Nothing worse than bolts that are seen looking mismatched and ****. I'm off to the beach this weekend and then rest day Sunday so will tackle it then. Thanks :)
Yeah I'm the same, the rusted philip ones really make it look crap, I'm on the second bag of the £7 (about) off ebay I think it should do most if not all of the visible ones only thing is they give you loads of m6 bolts but there is hardly any even on the bike
You sure the forks are bent? maybe theyre just twisted, if you get the wheel between your legs the turn the hadlebars sometimes you can get them back straight again.

They were in a complete state, when I rear ended the guy and got on the bike the next day, you could see they were way off. I undid the stanchions and gave it some twisting but they always settled back in place. After taking the stancions off I noticed one was quite clearly out of shape. OUr friend Turbotom sourced me a new front end and it's all good now.
I'm welding up the exhaust today so will update accordingly :)
So since getting the bike I've had a long list of annoying things wrong with the bike apart from it running and riding perfectly. First problem was smashing into the back of a Megane with no brake lights. Equaled in bent forks, broken wrist, cracked ribs, smashed thumb bones and a bent bike. Managed to fix it with the help of Turbotom and some spares.
2 months later I spin out on a freshly tarmacced corner and dent the tank and pulll a ligament in my knee.. During this time all the random bolts were snapped, **** was falling off and the bike was just generally pissing me off. Since then it's had 2 head gaskets and the exhaust has filled with water more times than I care to remember.
Now, as of Today it will be supermoto'd, looking sick and running like a dream 'cos I'm fed up of my brother and his ****ty little 4 stroke mates scooters always going out and having fun and generally mentioning my bike ain't running, by the end of the month I will have it running, riding and maybe, maybe looking sweet.
The donor Bike ^^ It's got some nice matt/satin looking levers I'm gonna steal, oh and the wheels.
The difference in size between the Supermoto front spindle and my front spindle..
I'm either going to relace the rims with my dt hubs to save time and effort changing wheels over, or find a place that will sort me out a front spindle good enough to use the original wheels as they are, bar the rear one 'cos the bearing carrier is smashed to pieces.
Its supermoto'd.. or halfway there :P managed to drill out the snapped exhaust bolts in the frame, test fit the front wheel and tidy some stuff up. Oh, got the engine back in too minus the top end which is being bored and **** as we speak..
For some reason everything at the back of the bike looks proper bent?
So more progress, This bike is now in the shed with its engine out again as the guy whos doing my rebuild has now got the correct piston and is busy with the top end. I got hold of another DT the other day, So I'll post some pictures of that one and various other things.
Just purchased these on 'the bay' too.. WR125 '08 Supermoto Wheels
Same wheels as our lad Harry I'm informed so all is well with the supermotoing.
Got some new gloves..
New hand gaurds..
and the new DT. It's a 1991 running fully derestricted 2003 engine, pinned powervalve etc.
Handgaurds having been adjusted as of yet, one fell off earlier which really pissed me off cos they sat quite sturdy when done up. Their only ****ty Bike It ones from Demontweeks but they match the paintwork perfectly.
Nah mate. The spindle was skinny compared to the DT one so would have been a nightmare getting then fitted, I've got 2 bloody sets too lol! Just gonna sell em off and that'll pay for more upgrades :)
same nightmare as me then iv nearly give up an gone for another set , ended up buying the forks then those not fitting the yokes then made some temp sleeves to make the forks fit the yokes im going to redo in carbon fibre for the finished product. been a mission an a half now iv got another big mission working the rear wheel once i get the old broken bearing out of it.. would have probably been easier an cheaper to buy a set that fitted in the first place.
the wr forks an swingarm look pretty similar to the dt , iv been checking them out myself on a 2010 dirtbike version on ebay ,,ill keep an eye on this keep us posted m8 on how easy they are to fit
So the wheels I've got don't fit, not one single little bit.
I was told they would be a straight swap but for some reason, their not. I was thinking maybe their HUSKY WR125 wheels but the advert definitely says Yammy WR125 wheels, 2008 model. Their Excel though so are they even standard? Anyway, pictures.
Can anyone identify them?
for some reason photobuckets being a kev hunt and not letting me rotate so. thats the best i can do for you.
That's weird mate. So they don't fit at all? They do look a little different to mine in all honesty. They must'nt be off a dtx/wr that's for sure then. That front disc looks huge, at first glance to me aswell!
Went to the Yamaha place and we found that their from an xt660 or very likely. It's the only Yamaha that comes with a Cush drive, on supermoto rims and excel made lol. :(
I'd imagine you could, i mean they don't look too dis-similar to the DT's forks/swinger, but it may be best to sell them on to the next dude and grab yourself some others :)
