Why they **** do you have to get a garage / shop to check if it's done right? All work I have ever had done has always been ****ter than if I did it myself, at least if you do it yourself you know it's done properly

Sounds like a weird ticket never heard of it before, literally must have had nothing to do

its a rectifiaction form 1800a they were the proper traffic police as well he got me to sit on the bike while he measured the slack in the chain which was 3.2cm in my manual it says 2.5cm so it was out 70mm he also checked fork seals and brakes he said he is a biker himself when off duty so i thought he might have been ok and i may be given a warning but no chance whilst i was being given ticket a road legal quad come screaming past well above the 30mph limit and with the a stupidly loud exhaust and they did not bat an eye lid ????

At times the Police are forced to go out of their way to make arrests hand out fines etc as its about targets each police station has a set amount of targets they must meet each month If they are under the amount of the set targets that the goverment sets out, you will find the inspector of the nicks will make his sargents send his boys out there to reach the targets for nicking fineing people basically anything they possibly can traffic offences are definetley an easy one for the police to use on the public this is not uncommon practice nowadays.

I do agree here I always do a simple walk around my machine before I attempt to go on a ride. The same as I check my indis & front & back lights just to make sure everything looks all good. I`ve always did this since I was first shown to do this. It doesn`t take long and its always better to be safe than sorry in my eyes
