As title says i cannot believe the police have not got anything better to do the chain was a little loose but not too bad i said i would tighten up when i get home but no not good enough i got some sort of ticket where i have to have a shop check i have done it ok then get this ticket stamped then i have to post it off at my expense
Bit stupid you got a ticket for it! can see why they pulled you over tho, if that chain comes loose that gunna rip straight into your thigh and make a right mess!
i would of said for simples are you for ****ing reall you wast of time pricks give me 10 mins for my old man to come down with a spanner and illl do it so you can see it done thick **** all with a big grin on my face =] then i get to pull the pinky out and say full licence XD
Why they **** do you have to get a garage / shop to check if it's done right? All work I have ever had done has always been ****ter than if I did it myself, at least if you do it yourself you know it's done properly
Sounds like a weird ticket never heard of it before, literally must have had nothing to do
its a rectifiaction form 1800a they were the proper traffic police as well he got me to sit on the bike while he measured the slack in the chain which was 3.2cm in my manual it says 2.5cm so it was out 70mm he also checked fork seals and brakes he said he is a biker himself when off duty so i thought he might have been ok and i may be given a warning but no chance whilst i was being given ticket a road legal quad come screaming past well above the 30mph limit and with the a stupidly loud exhaust and they did not bat an eye lid ????
how the fck to you spot a lose chain when a bike is moveing ? they must have been them super cops lol .... is it even illegal to have a lose chain ? is that coverd in mot
At times the Police are forced to go out of their way to make arrests hand out fines etc as its about targets each police station has a set amount of targets they must meet each month If they are under the amount of the set targets that the goverment sets out, you will find the inspector of the nicks will make his sargents send his boys out there to reach the targets for nicking fineing people basically anything they possibly can traffic offences are definetley an easy one for the police to use on the public this is not uncommon practice nowadays.
dont you check the chain b4 u go ride, like sed below it snapps and costs ££££ and if it locks the back wheel up ur coming off so its ur own fault ha ner ner
I do agree here I always do a simple walk around my machine before I attempt to go on a ride. The same as I check my indis & front & back lights just to make sure everything looks all good. I`ve always did this since I was first shown to do this. It doesn`t take long and its always better to be safe than sorry in my eyes
ahhh not as lose as mine then lol.. almost touching the chain gard.. when ever i changed down a gear or two you could here the chain clonk lol.. then when i got home i pulled wheel back and am now on number 8 now it was on 1 to start with but it's been a year so the chain has lasted well enough for me. but will be buying a new one soon.
