Thing is I've had it up to 70, just, down the M3. Had about 65 when my electrics packed up and had to ride it restricted, surely the power valve should give me more than 5 extra mph lol

Searched this, may have even asked this before when I previously owned this bike lol. Basically my bike just runs out of steam at about 8.5k rpm or so. I know it's only a 125, don't expect it to be that quick but the power band just feels really short, surely if it says the redline is at 10.5k or whatever it is, it should rev to that? And my old rs125 used to rev to 11k rpm. Is there some other restriction I don't know about, it's a 1997 btw.
And power valve's working, has some sort of after market pipe fitted as well.
I'm pretty sure it is now, was turning the wrong way when I bought it back off my mate lol. Annoys me because I know it should have a bit more of a kick to it, don't really care about top speed lol.
If it's the one I think you're on about I couldn't see anything that mentioned anything like that for a 97. Apparently the newer one's are restricted for some strange reason but I don't know for sure, only sort of read rumours lol.
