Ebay bidding

never understand people bidding when there's an hour + left on the auction unless they know they are going to be away from Internet access when the auction is about to end......

The reason why i cant understand this is that anyone putting in a bid in, weather if its the 1st bid or further bid, in an auction with loads of time of left on it, is basically asking for the final price to be more expensive than what it could be

As well may know, this is because there are some very idiotic people which love to be the highest bidder throughout the auction, so every time you choose to bid on it with 3 days left your attracting those idiots to bid themselves, resulting in normally others bidding and the price goes up obviously.

Therefore as mentioned before if you are able to get internet access at the time of when the auction is about to end, WAIT until its nearly finished so that you can stick in a cheeky bid right before its about to end, yeah if you really want anything on eBay start bidding 10 minutes in so you don't risk not meeting the oppositions maximum bid, but i wish people would stop increasing prices when they don't have to, costing me more :D lol ;)

(this isn't against of you lot, I'm sure some of you have your reasons but I'm just giving my opinion and advice on what i think is best when using any auction sites, and I'm sure the majority of you which uses sites like ebay do this when they have the chance to anyway)

Just thought i'd make a thread to see what others think about it :)

once again, not trying to offend anyone on how they bid, just giving my advice ;)

Pfft. I just get a kick out of bidding. If I want something I leave it to the last minute. Otherwise I just bid cause I'm not bothered whether I win or lose.

I always put a bid on soemthing I want as soon as I see it, just to claim it and put some people off bidding, then I always snipe in the last 4 seconds or so, seems to do the trick.

I'm not surprised! 19 inch  granite walls! That'll cripple the signal.

Also DIY the iphone. just buy a new hhousing off ebay.

There is a possibilty aswell that the seller of the item maybe getting some else to up the price on their behalf to get a higher sold price for the item. This is not uncommon practice by any stretch of the imagination. Anything thats serves the public is open to abuse which can be anything from goverment to the police etc right down to Ebay. Sad but true. ...
