As title says the local gypsy family has just clocked me leaving my house and getting on my bike i stupidly went to the front of my house to grab my keys i never do that i normally always go through to my back garden which is well out of view he clocked twice with in in 40 minutes whilst i was out on it as well the thing thats got me so paranoid is that i know that they get there nephew to go out stealing bikes i went to school with him i know what he is like they normally target crossers i,ve seen him on various bikes over the years from 80s to 450s all stolen i,m just hoping they would not be intrested in the dtr can anyone recommend a good alarm i already have alarmed disc locks but i want something that will send them running if they get in and start messing with it i would not care if was just some chavs but these lot are not to be fooked with one them got caught red handed with over £100.000 worth of stolen 4x4 parts and his brother is the local coke dealer
Tbh there isnt alot you can do with pikey's if they want to steal it, they more than likely will just ground anchor it and get as many chained locks and a sawn off shotgun to get rid of the imbreds!
oh dear, is it locked up?? big chain??garaged i used to use fishing line tied to the garage door handle fed it thru the roof to a metal scaff pole on the out house so soon as they pulled the door it dragged the bit of scaffold pole off the roof down 10 foot on to concrete floor it made a right ding dongggggggggggggg noise and would of woke the ded in the middle of the night that noise is enuf to make any thief run off, but if they do it once rig it up different the night after failing that put it fru bedroom window and tie it to sumet in room that u will hear fall over, jump up n put light on shout im ringin police out window if u dont fancy attackin them with a blunt object
The bike :smile
,joking aside gooner,is there any way you can take it inside ,,,+ it's classed as locked in a garage..........sorry for all the dots and spaces but the iPad auto corrects'
Good luck dude

Is it locked in a garage at night?
Give us some more details and we can make it as difficult to nick as possible
Gates ? Fences? Floodlights,
I love the pole on the roof man lol,
If you make it more difficult to steal than the bike is worth, they will find something else to steel.
Let us know dude ,we're here to help each other
like petrol head says... rambo trrap it! Or get a x security dog i got a german shep x security does the job, if not just get some barbe wire around your fence, chicken wire scuffed up will also work out fine :) But who ever lives in your house or is a friend let them know as it will mess their hands up :( i was just off to holiday for a week 3000klm away from my baby! i had 3 locks on her & put a plank of wood with nails on the otherside of the fence just to make sure haha!
You could get this, i presume your bike is parked outside at night by where you said something like its two foot from your back door, well this could help you, ive got an xena motion alarm similar to this and its proper loud, better than any motorcycle alarm for home use, even though its powered by aa batteries, get duracel, but you cant say no to xena lol. anyway with this even if your bike is under a cover put the unit underneath so it doesnt get wet, wire the telephone wire to your telephone socket, and then you got an alarm which is loud and will call 3 numbers when its triggered, keep your mobile or house phone close to your bed and your done, obviously you would have to figure out how to hide the telephone wire coming from the unit but might not be that hard...... thats an idea - "Passive Infrared Beam Detects Movement up to 20ft. (6m) Away, 135db siren etc"
Or
Buy an alrite baby monitor, one which can be battery powered, stick it in something waterproof like a box of some description/ (maybe a paint tin with lots of holes lol) and put it under your bike cover or close to your bike if you don't have one, stick the other monitor and place it next to your bed, sorted , when ever they come and if they come im sure there make a bit of noise which will wake you up without them knowing ;)
Tbh mate, get yourself some UFC shorts, some gloves and pour some water over yourself....stand outside the front of your house with your fists clenched, and your teeth gritted and look really pissed off, that'll sort it out
fair enough ur concerned but all thats happend here is some little ****s have clocked your bike just chain it up put a tarp over it and hope for the best plus if it does get chored up u know whos had it
What i'd do is purposely set off the alarm. What's the situation. Is the bike outside. Have you got a spot light? Can you install a motion spot light for it to come on when it detects motion. Place it under that light.
INSURE THE BÁSTARD FOR TPFT!!!! Best thing you can do.
If you are really really really really really really really (I can't stress enough how paranoid or worried) Paranoid. Take the back wheel off after you use it. Pull the spindal out when you're putting it away. You got a paddock? Just lift it onto the padock and pull the spindal out. Can't rob it without a back wheel.
Or something like that. Something you can take off in two seconds which renders the bike unridable. Maybe the seat? Two bolts and gone. Or the tank. That's easy enough. If you don't have the rad scoops. Difficult.
Another good thing is to wire up a hidden kill switch in the bike. Take a feed off the existing kill switch and wire up another one hidden. Then you can flick it and off goes the power.
Get an alarm on it mate.
I did and feel so much better when I leave it places. It's steering locked, Chain locked, Disc Locked and a simple LOUD AS FOOK Alarm. Just chirp it and a blue LED tells you, and theifs, it's on.
£20 for the alarm I bought. I'd rate it as a motion sensor. Complex to wire in the immobiliser. It's jus an added defense.
