Picked my bike up today and went to show it my dad. He invited me in for tea and I made him take the disk lock of his Bandit (which was in the garage to be fair) and then fit it to my bike before I went in. Was still checking it every 2 mins!
well guys, my bike was stolen and recovered last night. i was woken at 2am bye police at my door asking where i had parked my bike, when i looked at the spot it usually is all there was was a broken chain in its place. turns out i had forgotten to put my steering lock on, so with bolt cutters they could litrally just walk it away.... basicly the police told me they saw 2 guys trying to start it so stop checked them.
they couldnt arrest them untill they had confirmed from me it was stolen and of course when they returned the guys were gone.
im just happy i got my bike back. bar a few cut wires and a broken indicator relay ive got away with my lack of care pretty well.
lucky man tbh steering locks are pants and takes seconds to brake easyer to snap a steering lock then cut a chain get a alarm disk lock thats your best bet chains can be cut but disk locks need angle griners and if there alarmed they will run off best £30 i have spent
Ryan bro dont try blame yourself mate, steering locks are SH1T it takes any scumbag thief 2 seconds to snap a steering lock, by one of em holding the bars and the other kicking it, done. Honestly feel for you though bro, it must be a horrible feeling being woken up and told something like that out of the blue
Just gotta look on the bright side, atleast you got your baby back and can make her better than ever now with building her up again!
if u can get one of these get one i have one and the moment the bike is touched or moved it goes off and will scear away any thiefe allso stoped them wheeling it away the only way to get one off is to angle grine the lock or grind the disk witch will make loads of noise
thats proper **** BUT WTF?!?!? there was actually a copper when you needed one? and you got your bike back? fancy picking tomorrows lotto numbers for me? lucky touch that one....
Good idea Toy but for £30 you can get 3 of these, one on front disc, one on rear wheel, one on padlock of garage/shed, I have one of these on garage door noisey as fook when it goes off.
Sorry Toy mines a good un mate had it 2 months now, no probs, you musta got a dudd one, admittedly i replaced with new batteries straight away as the originals looked old.
that takes piss that ud of thought they would of held them till they spoke 2 u
Surely its procedure to take names and addresses anyroad?
In case of outstanding warrents etc? Someones ****ed up somewhere, there'll be fingerprints all over the bike no doubt, theft, then criminal damage surely enough to arrest the scrotes.

Dame right there is police error they had every reason to hold the 2 people who was in possesion of the bike under arrest for suspision of theft or TWOC. This is totally questionable & unprofessional for the officers to simply let the 2 geezers go whilst they check out the registered owners address to make sure that bike is not stolen. The only logical explanation for them letting them go as there wasn`t any nearby officers to assist in the matter. However like it has been said already any name given would not of been your name unless the people who attempted the theft knew or know you somehow?? This would give the police a reason to think it was the owner of the bike but it still wouldn`t stop the police to ask further questions like how long have you owned the bike for & asking them to produce the key for the bike all these simple type of questions which an owner would easily know or have. After all these 2 geezers are found with a bike at 2 am in the morning a Enduro bike which all police know are targets for bike theives. Its standard to give the bike the once over for any signs of something not being right especially given the circumstances e.g time of night, two geezers etc

hey guys sorry i havant reply'd been working. anywhooo thanks for your messages they mean alot :) ive ordered a new disk lock already first thing i did when i woke up in the morn lol.
a question. they messed around with 2 wire blocks and now my indicators are messed up. there flashing really fast like a bulb is out but it isnt. i can also hear a clocking sound from the back white relay thing as it flashes.
the blocks they touched were behind the head light cowl on the left hand side. one was a 4 pin red block the other a 6 pin black block. ill get pictures tomorrow. they cut the rubber surround on them to get to them which is anoying but im just wondereing if anyone knows if they have any connection leading to the rear indicators?
times like these i wish the jigsaw man from saw did exsist for theiving wankers it would be funny to watch, be like chuckle brothers all over again like
ide have thought so too mate, but aparantly the excuse they gave meant they couldnt hold them untill they had spoken to me. they did tell me the guys were known criminals around the area too.... makes it even worse. i live in a culdisack in a quiet area. they must have seen me riding it before and have gone after it specificly.
i had a phone call from forensics the day after, asking me if the bike was in the rain over the night. when i said yes they said they wouldnt be able tio find any evidence on there

Apart from forensics, surely theres evidence enough that the copper caught the bastards red handed, he obviously fooked up big time, shoulda called for back up to go round to your house, bet none of them had a helmet between them, it woulda looked well suss.
if anyone else has ever had there bike or car stolen, does it sicken you to think that those theifs have had there grubby mits all over it? it makes me physicly angry knowing im touching where i have
Its good you got your bike back, but why the fook should you have to fork out to repair the damage those bastards did, I'd take it out of their noses, if I couldnt take it out of their wallets, the thieving swines.
one thing i will say, is although im grateful for the police for finding it ect.
when my bike wouldnt start because the wires were chopped ect, i had to walk it home while they waited at my house.
now this normally wouldnt be too bad but there are 2 theivs somewhere one with some sort of sharp object used to cut the wires and surround. i couldnt beleive one of them didnt offer to walk with me.
so lucky and the stupid cops letting them gat away ? did the plod not even get their names ect .. surly their names was not registerd as keepers and supose they had no helmets ?
also as said above steering locks are pure pants and can be broken so easy .... most chains also are total pants .. if I was you either get a alarm cctv or a good granate chain and chain it to something thay can not move ... also a chain of the ground is hard to cut than one thats one the ground . du to they have to use all body strength to cut with bolt cutters ....
after liveing in some bad areas and knowing some bike theif types I would say 75% sure they will be back even maybe tonight as they may asume you now have no lock and it may just be in garden ect unsecure .
