So I'm about to gut my pipe soon, but I need to know if I can weld it with non-stainless welding wire? or would it have to be stainless?

Would immagine you would have to use non stainless on non stanless metal.

what pipe is it? if its ss u need ss wire or mild for plated but ull have to grind any plating off or it will spit and weaken the weld area

Its a stock pipe from 2006.
Oh so they are non-stainless? :p i thought they were made out of nonstainless

no wont be stainless if its oem pipe lol that would cost way to much to produce ha it will just be mild smile
