Today i pulled off something AWESOME. like 10 min ago.

Started wheelieng in 2nd gear. Shifted to 3rd-4th-5th and managaged to hold it up in 5th gear.

Wheelied really far. and when i landed the speedo showed 55 mph :O ! :D :D

The most awesome thing i have ever done on my dt so far !. gonna give it some more tries tomorrow.

I am soooo gonna buy myself a gopro this summer and videotape some POV while im doing this.

ADRENALINE ! God damnit i have never felt so alive.

If i all of a sudden stops posting. you know what happened xD

Haha ^^ Why ? Its just to lift it up in 2nd. And when your just underneath the point of balance. and have enough rpm. You shift it into 3rd. Sometimes you might flip a bit back and feel like your about to flip. then u pull the rear brake and try again. When you get it right you can just pump the gas and keep at the point of balance and just wait untill u have enough rpm to shift again xD

I guess the next step has to be to learn to control the rear brake enough to try to slow down while wheelieng.

When im in seccond gear, i start out at about 30 mph. Just pull the throttle and get it up and then shift into third. then just pump the gass untill its time to shift again, and again :D

No one can wheelie in first, its just too short....

Im not shure if im gonna look like a pro but ill try.

The next step now will defo be to learn how to use the rear brake with control. And try to learn how to slow down while wheelieng.

ahhh see where im going wrong then im just using 1st gear , i have attempted lifting it in 2nd but have a lot more trouble getting the nose up ,
as easy as i can a 1st gear standing start, these bikes are such good fun
600cc out there to use but im still riding my dtr mostly as long as you dont use the servo an peg it to the max an keep it there theres not much difference in it up to 70mph

Nor how do you find the dtx setup for wheeling compared to the standard setup?

i find it easyer with offroad wheels as the front end is higher and lighter them sm wheels are heavy biotches

Syphilis. I find the dtx setup harder to raise up. but once i get it up. Its easier to keep balance. I dont feel like im about to flip all the time, With the RE setup it felt like i was just about to flip all the time. I feel like i have much more control with the dtx setup. The point of balance seems to be bigger when you get more weight in the front.

And Tripr. How come you cant get it up in 2nd ? xD. When my bike was a RE i could even get it up in 4th just pulling the throttle. I didnt usually do it cause it was hard to get it up in 4th so it would be hard to keep it up once i got it up because of the rpm.

But with the RE setup i could easily raise it up to wheelie in third gear. Keep in mind i got a 170cc.

But when my bike was all stock. Just a gianelli exhaust, Having the PV open up a bit more. And the 250 jet. I would easily wheelie in 1st and 2nd. And if i was low on fuel i could also get it up in 3rd.

The exhaust makes a big difference on performance. With my derestricted pipe i could barely get it up in 2nd gear ... even with the 170cc.

And for a week i drove with a dep. Could really notice a difference from the gianelli. Dep had lower top speed. but was easier to wheelie cause it was stronger from the bottom. If i shifted a bit too early with the dep. It didnt matter because the bike was strong enough to just pull itself back up befor the fron wheel landed. With the gianelli, i have to be a bit more carefull to when i shift. cause if i shift too early the front wheel drops. But a + on the gianelli is that it is more villingly to pull on high rpms. So you can proboably go further in each gear before you shift with the gianelli.

Im gonna bleed my rear brake properly. Fill it up with brake fluid ( its a bit low atm ) Try to get the rear brake as sensitive as possible. So it will be easier to learn how to use it with control. I wanna try to learn this : When im wheelieng, And i the front wheel is jumping a bit up and down. I wanna try to slightly push the brake at the same time as the front wheel is at the top. Right before i let go of the throttle. I will try to just touch the rear brake to slow down a bit. If i can do this i think i can eventually learn how to slow down while wheelieng.

For those who wanna learn how to wheelie. I really reccomend to buy a Dep or a gianelli.

And for those of u with a working servo. Make it open up a bit more. Like one cm left of the whole your supposed to adjust it to, I did and its actually pretty noticable that you will get the full power a bit earlier. Wich i found makes it easier to wheelie.

I noticed a pretty good change when i did that adjustment to the pv on the standard barrel.

yeah 4 stroke's have a little more toque down low making it a bit easier! i'm not able to any more as it's blown up hahahaha! only time i used the brake was if it was going too high no point slowing to wheelie down as the front would just drop down dude!

I can get my bike up in 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd with some elbow grease on the handlebars. I find myself wheelying whenever I'm down into second most places, I have a good look around to see if I can see any fluorescent cars, if not.. then I'm off. I can sometimes pull quite a long wheely just in second and I dont dare shift to 3rd cos I'll probably flip it lol!

Its possible to learn how to slow down using the brake without falling down xD.

Like i explained earlier.

Either you just touch the brake slightly when your on the way up. Or you can pull the throttle and go a bit too high with the wheel. And then slightly brake. You never seen the pros lol ? xD
