wanting to DIY spray my frame and swingarm once i get my bike back has anyone done this before and could you recomend any specific primer/colour cans for the spraying, want the frame to match the blue on the panels and the swingarm to be white with yamaha sprayed in blue across the length of it, also any metalic heatproof silvers for the engine casing? also if anyone has a link to a frame being sprayed it would be helpful aswell cheers lads biggrin
also unsure about colour schemes not sure wether to keep it all blue apartfrom swingarm or mix and match having rear panels white and tank panels blue etc, leave comments and do the poll please!

waste of time mate, needs sandblasting and powdercoating , it will just peel, flake, ruboff, dissolve with any oils, fuels, solvents

wont be worth stripping it for DIY spray TBH mate

dnt have a clue how much it should be, cause the ppl that did my frame do loads of parts for my dad so it was cheap

you can book it in and they will tell you how long it take

Ball park figure to get frame shotblasted and powdercoated £80-£100, swingarm £30-£50, you'll probably be without them for about 2 weeks, so that will give you time to get other stuff cleaned up, replaced.

If you're going to powdercoat your swing arm i'd order new bearings etc from now if time is against you
