got a dtr 125 02 model just wondering why iv got the old loom shouldnt i have a new cdi that goes infront of the oil tank not under the petrol tank

unless some one has swaped it out for the older one ? as part of derestricting ?

maybe you should have a good look and check all the bike to be sure its not a older bike put on to a newer v5 or frame ??? aka---ringer ?

Check your powervalve servo, how many wires does it have 3? or 5?

Checked v5 all numbers match up and the bike dint have Servo wen I got it luckily i managed to get 2 of them a 3 wire an a 5 wire +controller and u no the controllers rare as anything the guy befor me did say it was fully de restricted I just didn't believe him will it affect performance having old Cdi

You'd need to check the loom under the tank, if theres a 2 wire plug connector with one wire being black, the other brown coming from it, not plugged into anything, then you need the 3 wire servo, the other wire is a Black / Yellow wire from the CDI to the P/V servo. not sure of which wires are for the 5 wire servo, but like I say if its not the 3 wire its defo 5 wire servo. which also means you have a 99 onwards loom. and having an older CDI means the revs are less restricted than the newer ones.

Nice so it sounds like I got old loom an Cdi for more revs another question is should there be alot of compression on the dt it seems pretty easy to kick start easier than my kx80
