My MDK boots have taken a battering on the inside at the front due to pushing the kick start back flush with the bike when I kick it over, it's starter to dig a sly little hold in it. Not to mention the velcro bloody ripping off :(

Just had a bit of a thought after finding some conveyor belt rubber in my garage Toy, get hold of some 10 - 13mm conveyor belt rubber, most quarries, or similar places have old pieces just lying about, just ask the foreman he'll gladly give you a piece. shape it to make an insert for the foot peg, it'll sit just nicely within the serrated edges, and couple of cable ties should keep them in place, or countersunk bolt and penny washer, whatever you have to hand, then if you need the serrated edges whilst off roading just whip them off till you need them back on the road, should save the boot soles a bit. Not finished mine yet, but you get the drift ey. Wish I'd thought of this before fooking up a decent pair of Timberland boot soles.

Aye Gadge that'd work mate, longer than normal countersunk allen bolt m6, whip the thread off leaving the shank, drill through and either split pin or R pin.

Let Toy have his la di dah posh ones,

oh aye get a cutting disc on grinderette, make a few grooves as tread.
