this jocky wheel tied to roof beam and bike lifted with old climbing rope ...the beam is 60+ years old and only supported at one side..;ook close note the mass of rope round the bars lol

Basically. I've used all sorts of stuff to stand the bike on when doing stuff to it.. What's the sillyest way you've had the bike in the air?

In the past I've used an engine hoist, a trolley jack, steel wheels, a bottle jack (it was teetering) and just laid bikes down and done maintenance..

Heres me earlier when I changed my rear wheel spindle, this is quite tame... and abit hillbilly..

I'm not surprised mate! I mean, the DT isn't the lightest dirt/road bike I've owned and hurts when the pointy bits stab you in places!

Hahaha toy you mentalist. Saying that I carried a paddock stand before, just looped some rope round the ends and slung it over my shoulder! Was out on my own so no picks. I hardly ever have anyone to go riding with, sob.
