Some pipes have to be sold with a washer in them even if they are performance exhausts, these normally just pop out with a screw driver ,have a look near the manifold part ,if not no idea ??

I just took my bike out for the first time with the nikkon exhaust and the bike had no power. My first thought was the power valve was not working but it was working fine. The bike would not rev past 8000rpm and i could only get 60mph flat out there was no powerband at all. I refitted my cheap pattern exhaust and its now flying again 78mph flat out and it revs up to 10500rpm. Do you think it needs jetting the guy i bought if said its ready to go straight away just bolt it on and go i,m stumped.

The manifold bolts to the engine then the exhaust slides over it and is held on by springs i could not see any washers anywhere.
Could be up the first bit of pipe ,just remember someone else on here bought a zorst and even that came with like a little collar thing even tho it was aftermarket, when they found it and took it out the bike flew ?
that defo shouldn't be like that? nikkon were well known for performance,i've ridden a dtr with a nikkon on and it flew? (off the clock in fith) i'd contact the bloke again. if he cant advise you the best way to sort it,ask for your wedge back. its meant to be a performance pipe
I know its stupid theres definatly not any visable restriction but it feels worse than a standard restricted pipe 8000rpm and 60mph flat out is the max with the nikkon with the standard it would do 65mph
that is proper strange, its got me stumped? its got the same physical size as the standard, but with nothing in it it should produce more power. might be worth asking the bloke if they were made to uk restricted spec like gadget said (if it was it'll have a baffle in it,early fresco's (big one) had them) 8000rpm is defo strangled
Lol if it's been sat for ages in a stock room it could have something livin in it ha ha ,BBQ mouse anyone,,,get some bendy wire and have feel for anything inside it man ,it should be completely empty ?
