So, the good man Norfe dropped of his, now my, DT this morning. Bloody insurance was a bit toppy at £288 comprehensive, but alas, such is life.

Spent the last few hours riding around. Christ, it's not half different to my XL125. I've no idea how you young lads don't kill yourselves on these things. :p

I thought it was missing and running like death at first, but on closer inspection, I was just hitting the top of the rev range rather quicker than expected.  Learned to change more often before I blew it up.

They're pokey little things, ain't they. Overtaking is now possible, the brakes work, and it's generally a joy to ride. Love it already.

Only gripe is the clutch. The thing is giving me rsi, it's pretty heavy and with all the extra gear changing it's causing wrist ache. I'm sure I'll get used to it though.

p.s. Norfe is a top chap.

I've never even rode any other bike, but both dts I've had absolutely thrash any other 125s I've met - with the exception of a couple rs's

Even keeps up with my mates 660 raptor although they do handle like crap...

Glad you're happy with it

It won't work, I'm right handed. My throttle control is excellent though. :)

I had a couple of green lane episodes earlier. Nothing at all major, just non tarmaced road up in the pennines. I'm gagging to take it up to Scotland, but annoyingly I can't due to work. However, I am going to do a run down to Dorset on Monday. Trying to plan a route better than the a49, but struggling.

Me, Bike, Rollmat, Tarp... two day adventure.

Like this one on the Honda. Ended up sleeping in a carpark in cumbria. Long story short, I was in a campsite in consiton and a group of four were being ****s at 1am. Started out as loud banter, then turned in to a massive hour long domestic, then culmiated in shagging. By jut after 2 the bloke shot his load and it all seemed to get a bit quieter. Then they started playing music. By about half 2 the music stopped. Bliss, I thought. Then another bunch came back from wherever and started with more noise. It was supposed to be a quiet family camp site, and I was trying to escape hectic work for a quiet weekend, and this was all pissing me off no end, so I packed my tent up and did one.

As I began to do said one, I realised that this was the first time I'd ridden the bike in the dark, and the headlight was about as much use as a match. Basically only the side light worked. I'd made a thing of leaving though, so couldn't really go back, though I wanted to. Consiton to South Windermere on your sidelight, in pitch black, is interesting. Took me bloody ages, doing 15mph all the way because I couldn't see the road. Ended up bedding down here, in a carpark. Slept like a trooper.
