the fuse is right near the battery, attached to the red wire. one of the lads on here (think its gadget?) has the dt manual as a pdf as his signature biggrin dont know a lot about the newer looms...hmm (although i thought the relays were under the rear mudguard, near the left hand panel? )

i'm telling porkies,its MDK's signature.....

Hi guys, Someone tried to steal my bike and barrelled it...needed to get to work, so I had to wire it myself wires coming from the ignition barrell were 4...brown,red,blue/yellow,blue/black...brown n red joined gave me my neutral light and red light (oil light) but wouldn't spark when tryin to kick, then I joined blue/yellow and blue/black and it kicked an sparked an started...it ran sluggish then ticked over on 2000 soons I went to rev it over 3500 it cut out, then no spark or red lights!! Wouldn't start again...so put battery on charge for a 3hrs back on bike, but still no red lights an it went 3rd kick, but same happened soons I went to rev ten will not start!! Now there's no red light, no spark when I kick, but when I connect again I here the servo for the powervalve adjusting itself... please help!

Start a fresh. If you arent sure what you have connected to where you should be careful. I would un plug everything, replace the ignition barrel ( 30 quid on ebay) and then plug everything back in and see where you get to.

Thanks for the reply Andy...a few people have mentioned I may have blown a fuse but I have stripped all the tape off the harness and there is no fuse in the system anywere!? Also they mentioned blowing the neutral relay, but there isn't one of them either, do u know what this does/how it works...I looked at the actual switch in the gearbox wich acts as a sumplug for the box...but can't see anythin the matter with it...

No there isn't any relays, fuses etc anywhere in the system I have traced the entire harness an cut everything back to show the wires...but the thing is I believe its the older model harness, because I sent off for a v5 and I have to take it for inspection at Manchester dvla as they said its coming up as a different bike, mine is the same model/plastics as the black 1 in ur avatar pic david...

If it is a DT125R which is the bike in Davids pic then it should have a fuse holder like this connected to the battery..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-DT100-DT125-DT125MX-DT-100-125-MX-FUSE-HOLDER-/220966571059?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3372a24c33

The next link is to a parts dealer who have all the parts diagrams and parts labelled under neath. You could use that to see if you have what should be there.

Ye when I wire it as though it would put the neutral and oil light (but they don't come on), the servo motor goes through the cleaning process and adjusts itself but when I goto kick it (mine doesn't have a starter btw) there is no spark or lights, horn works though lol...the wire I bridged by accident goes to the CSI an the other goes to the cut off switch, then were does it usually go, because I chased it an it goes under the back mudgaurd to a plug obvsly with nothin on Tue end...

I think thats where your neutral relay should be.

Btw if its missing the sidestand switch, and the wires aren't bridged on the connector plug, it won't get a spark neither.

I would buy a 2nd hand loom from eBay or somewhere and re fit it all. Make sure you get the right one for your model though. You
Must have a dt125 look though if the servo motor is running.

Aren't DT's suppose to have immobilisers on them? If you're just hotwiring it then it probably won't work.
