I personally wouldnt go cutting. You'll de value the bike if you ever want to sell it and you might find you want the rear pegs and side stand switch at somepoint. You wont gain much from it

If you use the newer loom u have to change th stator /flywheel/servo/Cdi etc so u may aswell just buy the Cdi for your year

What powdercoater did you go to?

The one I use (cheap as it gets) does the old, it will be done by Monday..

Monday comes, oh it will now be Tuesday, then Wednesday

Cut short it always takes a good week or two on top of what they first quoted, just use to it now

Well I never got my tank powdercoated, just sprayed, but wouldn't use water, probably swill it out with parafin, then rinse with about half a litre of petrol, it's what I've used for cleaning carbs out before. maybe an idea to bang another NEW inline fuel filter off a scoot, as you dont want any sand getting into your carb. with an inline filter you can see any crap getting caught in there the one one the carb is covered inside the fuel intake spigot.

Oh aye, take the fuel tap off so its got a decent route for it to drain out.

You'll more than likely need to run an m6&m8 tap through all the threads that have been covered with powdercoating. Probably best to do it before you have stuff on the frame that might restrict you in getting a tap there.

looking gd there m8y
id say remove the autolube as i dont really trust it or trust myself. let the 2t bottle run dry once but didnt have a clue how long for so i ****myself wen i realised lol ran fine for ages after tho, but it can be a pain in the arse takin 2t with u in a bottle n having to carry it about with u, woth it imo

imo i would of seriously got tht swing arm shot blasted to **** as it looks a bit rough,
engine looks nice as its clean, but if u wanna be a bit different then paint it, gonna paint mine coz its stained and the paint looks like **** otherwise i would of left it as is

+1 on cutting the rear foot peg mounts tho, looks gd without em, i cut mine off aswell. and the end bits off the back of the frame, the rear exhaust mount, side stand switch mount, steering lock, random little spigot that the overflow for the coolant bottle, filled any gaps with a mig, then smoothed with a grinder,

keep up the gd work m8
