every bike has a maximum electronic limit,it stops them self destructing. if you rev it flat out and hold it,the revs dont stay at the max. they hit max,bog a bit,hit max,bog a bit. trying to find the guy in greece who modifys dt cdi's (higher rev limit, different power curves)

My red line starts at 10.5 but never even got near that, nothing after about 8.5-9k really. Got a bit of advise from the guy down the breakers what could be holding it back, was gonna try putting a 250/260 main jet in it see if it's any better and also he reckons it could need the reed valves replacing. Also said about drilling holes in the airbox but not sure about that lol.

Oh hello!! soon as someone mentions drilling the airbox walk away, I have two sports performance airbox covers from previous owners, if anyone wants to buy them along with multi coloured power bands.

LMAO, guy down the breakers chats so much **** it's unreal. Other than the airbox bodge, he was trying to tell my mate to get an R125 exhaust for his WR125 which would look terrible and tried telling me I could get 9 points for my small plate lol. I take everything he says with a pinch of salt now haha.

Everyone knows you drill a hole in the cylinder head to get more air in. If you drill through the water jacket it also helps keep it cool so you can rev to 16,000
