OK it isn't the best around, but it was a bargain when i bought it, oh and a mess (cant find the pics) and i have to finish cleaning off the dep as the black part is doing my nut in now, it was all painted black.

I want to supermoto it, spray the swing arm and get rid of that horrible front light. (dtx light with a nice crack in it)

its sound that m8 a bit tlc and it will be mint and if i was you i wouldnt SM the bike not worth it and it makes the dt look crap. spend your money on a engine rebuild or some think better

agreed don't sm thats for girls(but don't tell all the guys who sm them I said that )

to be honest its a of road style bike and to sm road it is a insult to the great dtr god .
yeah sm sett up looks ok but takes away the rideing down a country lane moment and --stop--- whats that over that filed hmm bit of off roading I thinx feeling

I'm going to strip it down soon and get the swing arm repainted and the frame too, polish the engine case up get a new chain and see if i can get the dent out the dep some how lol

like some one comments below that video the other method works also .  simply filled it with water, plugged both ends like the guy in this video did, and then put it in the freezer. The water freezes and expands, it pops those dents right out.

ps any one ever tried the filled with water method on  a petrol tank dent ?

The neck on my pipe has been welded before, wouldn't last 2 seconds under compressed air.

 +1, don't find many others that share this opinion. Each to their own and I like them standard!! :)

 

Also, did you replace the plastics and tank? Those are from a 1999 i think. or did you mean 1999?

Haha cool, i had to replace the throttle cable today and noticed its a 3MB Y-3 not a Y-1.

Can anyone show us a pic of a y-3 head ???,if not you could take front exhaust off and take a pic up th port with th piston out the way so we can see the head,this is th only way can think of letting u know
