nice looks a bit of all years on that pink seat from pink/white --yellow gators and baby blue disc cover -- black panels tank again with the pink white bike stickers
Aye daft those prices, I think I've got some spare floats and cut off valve knocking about in the man den somewhere. If not I'll see about getting those on your link, cheers for the heads up.

ha ya cheeky boggas, aye MDK, it is a bit of a mish mash to be fair, I've got a pretty much new blue seat I took off mine to go on it, got the rear panels panels sprayed Black ready for going on it too, not going to go to town on it at the min, as it'll be for my lad , and hes got a worse track record for looking after bikes and scoots than Nath lad, just tickle it up a bit and get it on the road for him, now hes working and earning he can sort out the other cosmetic stuff, if it looks like its going to be a ****ty winter, might take it off the road then to strip it down and powdercoat the frame and swingarm. Only gave £350 for it so canna really grumble, will know more tomorrow when its dropped off.
Gadge if I come across another DEP end can,the same as the later one on mine, you can have first call on it bud.
Nice one fella ,mine got bent by some twaaat tryin to ram me off the road ages ago ,been lookin for one since them float valves are realy cheap, have u seen th price from yam ?
Bargain! What were Yamaha thinking with the colour scheme back then though! Bit of a scribble with a think marker on this scoop, oops ive done blue and pink..ah well! Or probably more relevant, what were the people who bought them thinking! 1990 was my birth year though so i better be careful talking about a looks from that year :P
If you can't find the floats etc you need, give me a shout as that lot that i got from scotland had a few carbs in bits. I put it all in a bag but im sure they'll be a bit of everything in there. What carb is on it out of interest? Is it the round or flat? Cos i thought it was rounds up til mid to late 90's but someone said that they were flats from late 89 onwards which seems to be what aj sutton says too.
Just had it dropped off, it's pretty rough to be fair, but nothing that can't be sorted, banged the blue seat on it, thats made a fair bit of difference, and found the panels it had for it, does need a clean up, not sure about the frame whether or not it was originally white, as its been rattle can sprayed white by Stevie Wonder in a hurry,
Changed the seat, banged my old panels on, gave it a wipe down with some flash wipes till it gets a proper wash down, come up a good 'un, my lads well chuffed, will swap carb over tomorrow and try and get it started.
A 3MD frame and engine, 3MB barrel, 3BN head, VM Mikuni carb, looks like it originally had a white frame, but it has been flashed over with white paint, V5 gives it as first registered 2/90 so looking likely an 89 bike.

Nah not the sort of thing I'd fancy buying new, I'd rather buy a second hand one then wire brush and spray it up, the one on mine came up like new, after doing that.
Aye noticed that on the parts list Gadge, but to be fair on a 20 odd year old bike theres a big chance the heads been changed somewhere along the line, rather that way round than the barrel a 3BN and the head a 3MB, funnily enough though, I bought a 3MB barrel to bang on the 4DL engine this weekend, and thats got a 3BN head bolted on it too, no problem getting a 3MB head if needed mind. And a chrome sidestand you say? hmmmmmmmm tempting.
