so basicaly im sick of working on my bike in the garden we have a 13ft by 10ft metel shed buy my dad wont let me clear the ****e out of it lol so im going to buy myself one to build this lanza in i was going to go with a 7x6 just to store the parts in as it was £200 but have well basicaly worked myself up to a 10x8 for £340 witch ill happly pay for somewear to work on my bikes out from the rain that i can put a heater and a light in =] my man cave lol
so question is the base im leaning towalds slabing the flore and fitting it on slabs but how much sand and congreet am i going to need to make the base i jsut want a price range to be expecting as my dads useless and just keeps saying i dont know lol
Toy, if you need somewhere to store the Lanza if its all stripped down, those plastic greenhouses from Argos at about £20 are ideal, the 2x deeper ones are about £40 odd quid., I have that XT125 of mine all stripped down and in one, everything goes in, you might need some extra shelving for the little bits mind, but one of those £9-£10 Argos 6ft wooden shelving units you put together yourself, cut in half was good enough for mine. At least till you get your proper man den sorted out anyroad.
i have one that you can stand in with shelf's on the left and right but as my cat decided to fall throw the gazzebo about 20 times i wanted somoene i can sit in the dry and play with bits lol so a shed is the best bet and ill have my own man cave filled with dt parts lol and my tools
if its 8 foot by 10 foot, you'll need 20 2 foot by 2 foot slabs. at four inches thick you'll need 54 25kg bags of cement... or 1360 kg of cement. id be tempted to clear and level the ground and slab it mate. far more cost effective
We've got a 9x12 shed we got recently and put a concrete base down. If its a concrete base, its different for insurance purposes. I recently renewed and said its in a shed not a garage now, they said is the base conrete, if so it wont change as slong as its locked. Would cost money but might be something to think about. Try and build the actualy floor of the shed above the ground with some air space underneath too, gives it room to keep moisture out. I havnt yet but will probably buy a few of those cheap one use de humidifiers and put a couple inside. I use them in my room as i get alot of condensation, they hold a lot of moisture if you do get any in the shed.
yes it will wast lanza building time and allso wast around £500 over 3 months of lanza money but need somewear to build it because there is know why once its done its sitting out in the rain lol that baby will be tucked away evry night
so what you thinking wood -brick- or metal ? the size sounds good a min of 10x8 as any smaller and your climbing over things and is hard to work .
I boult my 10 x 10 my self fast concrete base then med des concrete blocks not the best brick layer but hey it stands and do,s the job I also got some double upvc used doors of line and it soon became a summer house flat felt roof ect all in all cost me £300 and built in under a week .
the metal type are not to secure and lift of the ground easy so best to lay a concrete floor inside to hold it down for good and ply panel the inside .
mdk i got the same one as the argos one but form homebase they had a 15% off so got it for £350 deliverd XD
good stuff they are ok but not the most secure . althou they make a bloody noise if trying to break into . wood panel the inside is a must and some reinforcements on the back of the doors to add better locks .. as just pushing the middle of the doors can bend them and pop them out of the runners ????
they are also very light so put it up then pour a concrete base inside to fix it to the ground ... have seen un fixed down ones take off with strong winds and end up in other gardens .
