Cheeky ****ers, it's one thing nicking it then another when they clearly can't handle the red blue green and purple power bands and they ****ing stack it ruining most if not all the plastics.

I'm missing a complete front light assembly, battery cover plastic, seat, number plate, tax disc and ignition barrel. Pictures uploading now.

Like said. Invest in a nice alarm. I rate those Cheap cyclone alarm systems just for their alarm features.

wow ****ty news dude .. on first reading got a lump in my throat then reading on felt a little better for you ... at least its back and only minor damage .

so what time was it stolen and then recoverd and where localy ? have they cought the theifs ? and as said above have a walk from yours and think of direction they may have taken bike usualy down hill and towards nearest wast ground or field as thats where they will have tore bits of to start it maybe .

is the ignition damaged or just cut wires as sure it could be patched up maybe. and put full list of whats needed parts ect wise ...

have to wonder why no seat and where has it gone

It's roily 14 miles from where I live to where the bike was found. A place called ash vale, I'm located in Woking so. Thing is where I live is private and only 1 road in and 1 road out. So it's not as if they were passing and seen it.

It was found outside a pub called the napier, on the forecourt by the landlord who then put it in his shed and reported it to the police. I phoned the police this morning when I noticed that it was gone, cos originally I thought my sisters boyfriend had put it in the garage for me.

They gave me a crime number and then said they'll let me know. 5 minutes later I get a call back saying the good news is its been found the guy at the pub reported it. After speaking to the police I said I'd recover it to save the recovery charge. Spoke the landlord and he said he heard someone trying to start a bike next to the courtyard by the pub and didn't think anything if it. Head gaskets gone so they most likely rode it until it died which it would have done thanks to it dumping water in the exhaust.

Glad I've got it back but just means some ****ers know where it is located now :(

still would maybe try work out the rote they may have gone and maybe cycle the rout and look around for parts as would be a bummer to find them after buying new ones ..

and kind of a blessing the bike stoped running on them would have a good search around the pub where found and close by for the seat as they would have riden it there or close by and the seat or side panel maybe local . shame you not local to leeds as these bits would be great as fast fix http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/yamaha-dtr-125-parts/108982644

or maybe if any lads on here are local to leeds they could go get buy and post to you then you pay them back . just a thought

so the head gasket has gone ? was that already on its way out

strange side note  was sat in pub today haveing a spot of dinner and the wife and doughter say just in conversation oh we thought there was some one breaking in to something last night ! we looked out of window and thought we seen some one hide in the bush.....and yeah they went streight to bed and waited till next day to tell me ..bloody women.. imagine if mine had be stolen then they told me after furious

well dude I think it is time to beef up your security

ground anchor ---( can be anything thick steel in concrete   or anything heavy that they would not want to lift or drag behing bike

sensor lights ---- make sure they are hight so they can not poke with a stick to move sensor

alarm as above sounds great --- even the cheapist of alarms still make a sound but be sure to hide it well  so they can not rip it out fast or just pull battery wires

night vision is great but as seen in most cases all you get is a nice video of some face coverd huddie takeing you bike

Wonder if it's the same low life that stole that KTM and ran a dog over...

I ride over them woods as well now and again, I'll let you know if I find any dt parts lol.

And do you know NDEC/Plastic Surgury over in Aldershot? They're really good for those sort of parts, cheap as well.

Hi mate, just read this. Sorry to hear mate but think yourself lucky. Frame numbers still there? engine numbers? You got away light getting the bike back. I havnt got time to fully read through right now as the dog is whining to go out but I've got stacks of bits. I can send you a seat, rear panel (battery cover side) and front mudguard. None are in good condition but will get you back on the road. I also have a headlight unit in a bit of a mess. It doesnt have the bulb holder or anything but might be useful. If you are interested and havnt got them by now, cover the postage costs and they are yours for whatever you feel like paying.

Andyyam, are you sure! I don't know if you know my situation but I work 20 miles from home for 50 hours a week so kinda need te bike on the road ASAP. If you don't mind I'll take you up on that offer. Mind finding out how much it'll be to send? Either that or I'll speak to my courier friend and work out a cost? I need a quick fix desperately.

Cheers for the replies fellas. Glad I got it back cos I wouldn't be able to afford another ATM.

Next post is Tuesday. The headlight mount im not sure what you can do as they seem to be hard to get hold of. The headlight unit itself i have but as i say it dosnt have the bulb holder or connections, ill attach a pic to this post. I bought one from Yambits and would say its probably easier for you to do the same as They deliver next day. It was about 25 quid all up. But if you have the bulb connectors and other bits then you are welcome to this one.

The seat I can get sent off, the plastic, it wont be blue but will do the job as a quick fix.

Ignition barrel would probably be another yambits job or ebay. Think they are 30 quid.

Hope you catch the toe rags and lop of their hands before they get to someone elses!

Heres my security. If anyone comes into my garden and breaks into my shed with this around they have less sense than the religious!

It's ****ing poirot! Good shout there sir! Would be awesome if he nipped down and found his parts or the scumbags on other stolen bikes. Take a shotgun or automatic weapon, they arent worth the hassle of re loading...
