just bought practical sportbikes mag just for the reason it had a tzr250 in
so the guy had put in a stepped woodruff key, increasing the timing to +4 degrees advanced
now ive been looking this up and its quite a common mod
one guy put a +7 degrees advanced key on his dt and said it flew
i know that the standard dt cdi retards ignition in the high rev range and this would be a remedy
anyone tried this or had it done on another bike?

yeah its been a common mod over the years on all makes and models
you have to get it almost perfect tho or its melted piston time lol
i dont think they make them off the shelf, it would have to be designed and machined then hardened
