£200 for a lid? you could get 2 or 3 decent lids for that money, let me ask you a question Shaun, have you got a decent alarm on your bike or a decent chain and padlock to stop it being stolen? Oh aye and I'd reccommend a Wulf Sport helmet £60 - £70 quid mate.
Trust me, one for say £70 has the same kite marks as a £200 pound one, aye you can get cheap ones but they are in the £20 -£40 mark. I have a Wulf Sport and value my head. Its good that you have the disc lock, and a chain mind, as so often people have bikes pinched, due to the fact they never bothered to spend £20 - £30 on a half decent alarm, but spent crazy money buying something else for their bike,
i got my HJC lid for £25 you say wow £25 to cheap for me i say i got a fking deal HJC lids get used on the gp track so they know what there doing they wouldn't make a lid that's not safe for what its made for and RRP on it is £130
Go and try on loads to see how they fit - heads are different shapes and so are lid linings. Generally speaking the cheaper lids are heavier - if you're going to have it on all day get a lighter one. BTW £200 is feckin loads of money for a lid so you should be spoilt for choice.
by and large, the cheaper stuff comes from the same chinese factory anyways if i had the spare cash (£300) i'd have an arai tour x though, for that halo look
its not too bad. if you look inside the peak, you can see its been glued.... took a couple of hefty wallops already (all offroad) its taken it well, and i'm still here
only thing i say is wrong with the arai's are the side pods, can make a bit of racket at high speed, i thought my arai was really light til i felt my dads old shoei, makes mine feel heavy as **** hahaha
well I was fancying one with the peek on but after riding round the IOM at 60/70 mph I have had a change of mind ,think wind under them peeks must be a right pain in the neck, I try to go for yesterdays must have ones for half price the one I have at the mo is a HJC flip front that I got for touring on the Pan and when I got it it was a £150 lid on offer for £65 , go to a good shop and make sure what you are buying fits properly, proper fitting is important you can spend as much as you like but if the fit is wrong on a dear lid it could be worse than a good fitting cheep one , when marshaling I see loads of helmets that have been tested to the limit and the name on the front does not seem to make much difference but have seen the damage of a bad fit and it was not good
so go to the shops try loads on note the size and make and model then on to the WWW. and look for a bargin price

www.Ghostbikes.com generally have some good deals on helmets, like Eddie says try some on in the bike shops, if they'll let you that is, I know of a couple round here that won't, get your right size then have a gander on there see how much cheaper you can get it.
