Thanks for your help lads, luckily saw a status on my fb newsfeed with some random selling an unlocked iphone 4s 64gb, still in warranty, really good condition, for £350 so i took it, cant go wrong with that kinda price, annoying tho, gotta wait till my giff gaff sims come through before using it :)

Oh aye bear in mind the iphone 5's charging socket at the bottom will be changed too, so all those chargers etc you bought for an iphone 4 won't fit anymore, it'l be more like the old Motorola charging socket. Something Apple has kept pretty damn quiet if you ask me.

Did you not see it on the news. A few months back now there was a big news story about the socket changing and how it will make so many devices redundant without an adapter. Terrible if you ask me. I like the fact that it can go in either way but they coulda just adapted the old style to do the same but still work.

I was considering upgrading. Not any more. Not worth it in the slightest. 4G isnt ready yet for all networks and is the only thing that would interest me in the new iphone. I'll keep my "tiny screened" 4S and waiting another year for the iphone 5s

Totally wrong if you ask me, just anothe way of wangling a few bob more out of customers having to change car adapters, chargers etc. I thought all phone makers were going to get their heads together and come up with a universal charger socket, it isn't exactly rocket science, I've got draws full of numerous bleedin chargers as everyone in my house all have different phones.

Yeah I heard that too. Would make sense but I can't see it happening. Far too much money in it as it is.

That's what I head as well nev, apparently not..

I saw a link earlier I literally can't find it for the life of me. Basically apple is not revealing any of the details of the charging socket, and will take anyone to court who tries to produce a 3rd party charger.

So it could be genuine apple accessories or nothing!

I've actually seen the new charger plug, its a sort of cross between a telephone socket plug and the old Motorola plug, much smaller than the one now.

Yeah. Once jailbreak has been released 3rd party chargers will be available. They physically are not allowed to own a monopoly over something.

Yeah if you go on the apple site they have all the videos ups showing it off. Doesnt do much for me.
