Aye knock out the metal plug/slug thats on the engine where the rev cable goes into it, get the plastic threaded spigot, and the tacho gearing for the inside of the engine, get hold of the base plate, and rev counter clock, and cable, off one of the DTR's that had all that, and Roberts yer mothers brother.

just get both clocks from a DTR its easy enough to splice them into a DTX loom.£30 - 40 can get you some clocks if vigilante, sometimes even 99p if the seller isn't. plus you have the DTX one to offset the cost.

Or even easier, consider getting a vapor clock. That one comes with a digital RPM sensor. Best thing i've bought so far!

Yeah that'll work fine. That's basically what the Vapor has.

The reason I like the vapor is that it has shift lights for certain RPM's :D

The RE/X clocks aren't brilliant and the DTR clocks comes with temperature gauge.

I always wished i had DTR clocks on my DTRE. Not having a REv counter was something i got used to but i couldn see the point reeally. I'd swap for a DTR for sure.

the re/x clocks in my opinion belong on a damn moped not a bike , give me a rev counter not fairy lights , am tempted by the tiny tach tho far less prattin abt to fit too

But still leaves you without a temp gauge.

Yeah. Bit late though when you're there. Better to know that's climbing. DTR clocks if you don't want to spend stupid money. Could get some down a scrappy.

The lag isn't too bad on my vapor.
