looks rad man, i've noticed you've chopped down the end of the frame too, is that so the rear fender to fit better?

thanks mate!! the rims arte from a derbi gpr 125

the end of the frame was already chopped, so it wasnt me but from my opinion this way is worst, i had to adjust two little metal plates to fix the rear fender properly, and it was better when i had the end of the frame without being chopped!

i had to adapt them... fit new bushings (i dont know if that's the word, but i dont know how's said in english, in portuguese its "casquilhos"). then i had to make a front calipper support, to adjust the derbi braking system. then i had to make a part of aluminium to fix the dtr brake disk onto derbi's rear rim!

my english is pretty good but when it comes to techical words i suck a little lol

A 2000's and forward upside down forks can be heavier that some 1980's japanese regular forks like dtr. Besides making the ride much stiffer they are very heavy! and i had my dtr forks with a little bit more fork oil for them not to be so smooth as they originally are

im starting a engine preparation now, and wheight is something i dont need, muahahah biggrinbiggrin

cheers mate, i had it made myself! it was really hard but after some hours working on it it turned out something good!

the bikes here are different but here we dont have the laws that you have there. the modifications are more more intense, in the engine and in the looks

i had been watching ur project too, nice wheels mate :)

ur bike is going to look like "pstolas" bike

that's a user from the portuguese forum!!

Ive got those wheels on my derbi, I keep looking at them and then looking at my currently being rebuild DT and may just split the derbi for parts and use the wheels on my DT!

idk if that adapter plate would pass MOT here in the UK, I made one for my front wavey disc taken from a KTM and they failed MOT for it because it wasn't "original mounting" and it was made from steel and solid as a rock, bastards :l

Thinking of using an underslung TZR exhaust for my project, but the best type are the ones with the longer 'stinger' that one looks like a 2rh exhaust does that. the 4dl TZR Belgardas had 3 different types of exhaust.4dl1 4dl2 & 4dl3

4dl1

4dl2

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

4dl3

see the difference?
