Might be a long shot but still worth a go like, just wondering if anyone on here has ever took part in this amazing event?? I know the next one now isn't till next year but next week I'm joining the gym then starting my "weston super jar" money jar to start saving money to try and compete in this next year. YES I know it's a good while a way but I'm thinking of doing it on a 250 2 stroke an I've not been bike fit for some time on a 4 stroke never mind a 2 stroke!!

done it when i was 22 (36 now) looking to do it again,if i can keep the injuries at bay long enough to get fit lol you'll need a week off to recover afterwards...also a couple of mates as a "pit crew" bike will need to be race fit too, full rebuild plus spares biggrin i managed to finish it but a lot dont (amazing how many people think they're fit and dont make 1 lap) 4 1/2 hours on sand is no joke hmm was good fun though

1990 dt 125,was a little underpowered on the wet sand lol was a blessing by the end though, dont think i could have hung on anything quicker biggrin

took a spare bike, just in case.... saw a lot of punctures, broken rads and bent handlebars as well as bikes popping their top ends through heat when every one got stuck at the 1st jump confuse take anything that can brake in a spill, you will fall off biggrin (clutch and brake levers) as long as the bike is match fit its just the breakables. cant remember how many jerry cans of ready mixed petrol/oil we took down there though? sure it eat loads though....

was proper fit! used to go to the gym 5 days a week, run 7 days a week, kickboxing 4 days a week and ninjitsu 1 day a week. 13.5 stone (at 6'2") and less than 5% body fat.... i'm so unfit and fat now its a joke lol mid 90's would be bang on as they were still comfortable then, your ass will thank you lol

Haha I've gotta lot of exercise to do then!! an same here!! 18 an feel about 18 stone!!! an yeah well another reason for a mid 90's is just because of how cheap it will be! gonna be like starting fresh tho riding a 2 stroke!! I'm used to 4 bangers!!
