In the owners manual it says that the lever above the clutch lever is a " Hot starter" Does this mean im supposed to use it only when the bike is hot ? Because when i dont use it, Its practicly impossible to kick start it. I can stand and jump on the kick without it moving a single inch XD
Well, I cant start it lol, Im starting to wonder that ive tried starting it the wrong way, Because it has a hot start lever on the carb, + the choke, And a hot start lever on next to the clutch lever, And im thinking that i have done the wrong combination of levers and tried starting it so many times that ive killed the spark plug lol XD Ill go out and do some more testing later haha :P
The carburetor on this machine has a built-in accelerator pump. Therefore, when starting the engine, do not operate the throttle or the spark plug will foul. Unlike a two-stroke engine, this engine cannot be kick started when the throttle is open because the kickstarter may kick back. Also, if the throttle is open the air/ fuel mixture may be too lean for the engine to start.
The lever above the clutch lever is a decompression lever, it releases some of the compression making it easier to kick : ) and Nathan, supermotos are gay!! FACT!!

The lever above the clutch lever is mentioned as the Hot start lever in the owners manual, But the one who sold it to me also called it a Decompression lever, Proboably because that is what it does right ?, But you are supposed to be able to start it without it when the bike is cold.
yeah they call them hot starts for some reason, god knows why but yeah that's what they're for, and it doesn't really matter if the bike is hot or cold, a friend has a 610 husky an I couldn't kick that without the "hot start" lever, try kicking it over with that pulled in an it will be easier!

So i am supposed to kick it with the lever held in too ? Because the one i bought it off told me i should do this
Hold the decompression lever, Push the kick half way down, Then release the kick and the hot start lever. And then pull the throttle twice, And then kick the kickstarter..
Well tomorrow im gonna try to run start it, If it doesent start with that im gonna check the plug.

When I had my CRF an the compression was mean! I would hold the decompression lever in, push the kickstart all the way down slowly, then bring it right back up as far as it will go then have a lil bit of throttle on then give it one big mighty kick with the lever still held in!

So i changed the spark plug and it started pretty easily, But btw, Are the valves supposed to be a 100% quiet when their in good condition, Or are you supposed to hear them ? I never owned a 4 stroke before XD
Ahh haha i love the WR, Went for a greenlane like you guys call it ^^ theres a lane here that goes about 1 km up the forest, I got stuck in a sump. Shifted the bike into third and gave it some throttle and let go of the clutch and it just pulled itself up :D Pure joy :D
Depends on the engine and adjuster type. Shouldn't be too bad, and get quieter as the it warms up
I know engines that use rocker arms need the valve clearances manually adjusting but they could be outdated technology never worked on a four stroke bike
Who ever siad about changing pistons every 1500miles, are you thinking of cr 2 smokers. I mean 4 strokes should be able to take more than that surely???.
