Everytime Ive tried to pump up my tires on my dt with one of those machines at a petrol station I've never got it to work, sometime it just deflates it it instead?? Lol, Yes i put the money in, Yes i change the settings and Yes i make sure its turned on ;) haha
Perhaps theres a certain nack to getting it to work on motorbikes, perhaps the valves are different on a car so thats why it doesnt work, but can any shed any light on why this is happening, i can work hand pumps fine, even compressor with the pump on the end of it in the workshop at college, but not using the machine at a station lol

Yeah that's what its like down here, however ive tried in 3 different stations down here, majority of the time you can hear the machine doing its thing after putting the money in but when you put it on to the valve nothing happens, doesn't deflate, nor inflate, and im constantly playing around with them to try getting it to inflate within the time limit, grrr, cant understand why, im making sure that it sits on the valve properly as well
I love those machines for about 5 years as a teen I had keys to fit a local one and it kept me in pocket money every week for all those 5 years untill they changed it for a new one>>>guted .. you would be supprised how much money went in the older money type pumps
Really, Yeah its got something to do with tires, but its more of a general chat kind of topic, I'm not having a go but im seeing more threads getting moved from general chat when really I believe some belong there, yeah the people posting why doesnt my dt run properly i can see why them posts get moved/deleted, but others, hmmm...
For example jays thread, "if they cant have it they ruin it!' really dont think that should of been moved to seats but then again im not a mod to decide that so ill keep shtum :)

All of those types of pumps never fit my Gixxer 400, and i had a slow puncture so i use to have to foot pump my tire up to 30 psi every day haha! just give the machine a good kick that will fix it Reefy!
I can see why jays thread could have been moved but im sticking to my guns and i think really it should of stayed in general chat, in my opinion it should have always been a general chat topic from what it was based on in the first place, yeah its got a picture of a seat in it but he wasnt seeking advice on how to repair it for example, where to find one etc, how he modified it..., he posted to have a 'chat' about the scrotes which did this to his seat, its not like someone in the future will find that topic useful when they see it in the seat section, who will benefit from it i say, and thats where i conclude it should of stayed in general chat ;) sorry im not intending to start an argument, just expressing my opinion on some of the things which happen on the forum, I love the forum, dont get me wrong, im on it every day so dont ban me matey, im just giving my opinion so that maybe changes are made to what i think would be better and probably others too :)
And once again I still think that this should be a general chat thread, but thats fine, I dont want to argue about it, would be pointless :) honestly, Regardless i appreciate that you did move it instead of deleting it all together so thank you Nev :D

The thread regarding the slashed seat was moved to seats from general chat, because Jayjay posted a pic up of his slashed seat, now if you take a couple of seconds and look at General chat you'll find that the Admin has stipulated no pics to be put up in the general section, if they are then they will be deleted, now I didn't delete the thread, I moved it to a more apropriate section which was SEATS, and seeing as I put up myself a picture of a seat that I was letting Jay jay have, I reckon the move was the right one, as for moving this thread from General section to tyres, again a picture was put up of an air pump if I'm not moistaken, again I could have deleted it, as stipulated, but didn't, I again moved it to the apropriate thread, being TYRES!!
I can see the view from both sides. It clearly says no pictures. Regardless of how you came across it. As soon as I look at it I recognise it as a picture.
That said I see a sign saying 30 but my bikes doing 33 is that still wrong. I mean of course it is. It clearly say no more than 30 but I'm breaking. What it comes down to is moderators descretion. If NEV thinks that this is in the wrong section then who is anyone but the owner of the website to disagree. And to be fair I'd have thought seiki would agree with NEV since he wrote the guidelines.
Seiki's asked NEV to moderate the site so don't hate on him when he's just doing what he's been told.
Back to the topic I went in to my local Morrisons in the car and when I got there found I had a flat tyre so tried to blow it up to get me home and it would not work on the flat tyre but would work on the others when I asked the attendant they asked me if I had pressed the flat tyre BUTTON , it appears that if you have less than a curtain amount in the tyre the pump will not work on the one I was using that was about 10psi , pressed the magic button and it worked but very slow for the first few pounds , as for the moving thing it wasn't me honest
